Ontario is the most populated province, with over 14 million people who call this area home: and it brings even more people in through tourism.  If you’re considering a trip to Ontario and want to ensure you get to visit all of the best landmarks and attractions: This is a list of everywhere you should stop!

CN Tower

The tallest building in Ontario is the CN Tower.  Over 530 meters high, this concrete communications and observation tower in downtown Toronto is one of the most instantly recognizable landmarks in all of Ontario.  Not only because of its stunning and unique silhouette but also because the massive scale of this building makes it hard to ignore.

Although it will be celebrating its 50-year anniversary in a couple of years, every visitor greets them with the delights and shock of something that feels brand new to the city.  Once you get to know its shape, you’ll notice it in nearly every photo of Toronto.

Royal Ontario Museum

While you’re in the province, stop and take a look at the Royal Ontario Museum.  The exterior is a mix of modern and classic architecture and recently celebrated its 108-year anniversary.

In this museum, you can see art and history that date back thousands of years and show you what this area was like long before it gained the name Ontario.  Although the exterior is the most iconic piece of this museum, you should still stop in and explore the exhibits!

Art Gallery of Ontario

The outside of this art gallery is a trip, with bright blue that makes it look like a part of the sky, with a hovering silver staircase materializing out of mid-air.  It’s fascinating to look at and truly doesn’t seem like a real building unless you’re close enough to inspect it.  Taking up over 45,000 square meters of space, it’s one of the largest art museums on the continent and the second largest in the city of Toronto.

Casa Loma

Perhaps the most interesting piece of real estate in Toronto, the Casa Loma is a Gothic Revival mansion and garden that’s styled to look like a castle watching over Toronto.  This is an iconic piece of real estate that is always sure to catch the eyes and imaginations of tourists.

Because of its look, this destination has ghost stories that are vividly told, with dozens of supposed sightings: despite the fact that it’s just over 100 years old with no reported deaths on the premises.  This is a fun and interesting stop every tourist should take.

National Gallery of Canada

Another building that looks like art: the National Gallery of Canada, is a fantastic building, greeting visitors with beautiful formations of glass and metal that make it look like several greenhouses were stacked on top of one another.  This is a beautiful and instantly recognizable landmark.

This is an Incredible Province You’ll Recognize on Sight

Every inch of Ontario has something iconic and stunning that sets it apart from the rest of the world.  If you’re considering a trip to this fantastic province, it’s a good idea to aim to see some of these locations!
